June 1, 2009 – B’s Benefit Bash was a 4 day softball extravaganza. Starting with a 10-team slowpitch tournament Thursday night at Caloosa Park, followed by fastpitch opening ceremonies, a pair of tournament games, and a showcase game Friday night at Lake Lytal, and capped off with two full days of fastpitch action involving 47 teams at Lake Lytal and Seminole Palms parks, the festivities were a great success.<\/p>\n

Our second girls fastpitch travel softball tournament was played
\nFriday May 29th thru Sunday May 31st at Lake Lytal Park in West Palm Beach and\u00a0Seminole Palms Park<\/a>\u00a0in Royal Palm Beach.<\/p>\n

All proceeds benefited the Briana Marie Cox Foundation.<\/p>\n

This National Softball Association (NSA) sanctioned tournament was a 3 game seed into a single elimnation (weather permitting) and was open to A anb B age groups 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, and High School\/18U. The tournament featured a fully catered concession stand, raffle prizes, and a Friday night exhibition game featuring top local players. Added this year was a slow pitch tournament on Thursday night at Caloosa Park.<\/p>\n

Thank you to all who participated and helped keep Briana’s memory alive. The weather tried to get us down but we persevered and got all the games in. Thank you to Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation for providing us with such tremendous facilities and maintenance staff. Thank you to the Lake Lytal Lassie League for hosting this event, pulling all the permits, and simply being great people with whom to work. The results of the tournament are:<\/p>\n
